John Lewis has launched the Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a chaise-style sofa bed with under-seat storage for items such as guest bedding. The reported price is £1,199; the source says My John Lewis members can get 20% off through Nov. 1, 2026, but does not provide full product specifications or delivery details.
John Lewis has launched the Loft Chaise Sofa Bed, a new living-room sofa bed with under-seat storage for items such as guest bedding. The product is listed at £1,199, and Ideal Home reports a 20% discount for My John Lewis members through Nov. 1, 2026, making the launch relevant to households weighing the cost and practicality of occasional guest accommodation.
The sofa bed combines a chaise design with a concealed storage compartment beneath the seat, according to Ideal Home’s report. The publication describes its appearance as clean-lined and minimalist and identifies the storage as a place to keep bedding out of sight when the sofa is being used in a living room. The report does not give dimensions, upholstery choices, mattress construction or the mechanism used to convert it into a bed.
Ideal Home lists the price as £1,199 and says new and existing My John Lewis members could receive 20% off until Nov. 1, 2026. Those price and offer details are from the article, rather than a separately supplied John Lewis product listing. The report also says the sofa could be delivered before Christmas at the time it was written; it does not establish current availability or delivery dates.
The review is written by Ideal Home’s sleep editor, who says they have spent five years testing sofa beds and came to value storage after buying one for their own home. That is the writer’s assessment, not a product test result or a statement from John Lewis. The article also names alternatives from Habitat, DUSK, Next and Heal’s, but provides no like-for-like testing or independent price comparison.
The product addresses a practical issue for people who use a living room as a guest sleeping area: bedding and other overnight items need somewhere to go when guests leave. A storage compartment may reduce the need for a separate linen chest or for keeping bedding in another room, although the source does not state how much the compartment holds.
At £1,199 before any eligible discount, it is a substantial purchase rather than a low-cost spare bed. Buyers may want to compare its overall dimensions, sleeping surface, upholstery, delivery terms and warranty with other options before deciding whether its combined sofa, bed and storage functions suit their space. Those specifications are not included in the supplied report.

How It Fits the Sofa-Bed Market
Ideal Home frames hidden storage as a feature it considers useful, especially when a sofa bed is kept in the main living area rather than a guest room or home office. The publication’s writer says that bedding can otherwise occupy shared space. This is the article’s practical rationale for highlighting the Loft model; it does not establish that storage is standard across the wider sofa-bed market.
The same report lists several alternatives at different apparent price and feature points. It describes the DUSK Soho Chair Bed as having storage beneath a pull-out chaise and says it sleeps one; it characterizes some Habitat and Next options as more affordable, while presenting the Heal’s Oswald as a higher-budget option with storage. No exact comparison prices or independent performance findings are supplied for those products, so the list is best treated as a set of shopping leads rather than a ranked assessment.
““I think the John Lewis Loft Chaise Sofa Bed offers something a little bit different than the options already on the market.””

Specifications and Availability Still Unclear
The supplied report does not include a direct statement from John Lewis, detailed product specifications, customer reviews or independent test results. It is not clear from this material how the bed converts, what size mattress it uses, how much storage is available, or whether the listed price and 20% member offer remain current. The offer is described as running through Nov. 1, 2026, but eligibility terms and exclusions are not provided.
Delivery before Christmas was presented as available when Ideal Home published its article. That is a time-sensitive claim, and the source gives no delivery postcode, stock information or updated schedule. Shoppers should check the current John Lewis listing for availability, delivery dates and the complete terms before purchasing.
Check the Current Product Listing
The next step for prospective buyers is to confirm the product’s current price, stock status and delivery options directly with John Lewis. They can also check the full dimensions, sleeping configuration, fabric choices, care instructions and the amount of usable storage before comparing it with other sofa beds.
The cited report sets out a member discount deadline of Nov. 1, 2026, but does not confirm whether the offer has since changed or whether other promotions apply. Until a current listing or company statement is available, the reported price, discount and pre-Christmas delivery should be treated as details from the article’s publication period rather than a guarantee of present terms.
