Jessica White: Community Service & Anger Management For Cab Beating

by on June 15, 2011

Jessica White can breathe a sigh of relief.  The Sports Illustrated model had her misdemeanor charges dismissed by a Manhattan Criminal Court judge earlier today.

The charges stemmed from an altercation the model had last October when she allegedly beat up another woman over a cab.

The judge ruled that the charges would be dismissed if she stays out of trouble for six months, serves three days of community service and goes to anger management for two days.

In addition she has to pay $489.94 to Vanessa Kia, the victim she assaulted outside a nightclub.

Her lawyer said the deal was not as a result of any money exchanging hands. “There’s been no communication between the parties but I’m sure both of them are happy that this is not going to trial,” he said.

“Jessica has maintained her innocence from day one and that has not changed. This case will now correctly end in a complete dismissal. Jessica looks forward to moving forward with her career and charity without distraction,” he added.
