Beyonce is set to drop her new album on us any day now and the singer has finally shared some new deets about the followup to 2011′s 4.
In Beyonce’s interview with The Gentlewoman magazine, the singer revealed the new album draws inspiration from 90s R&B and features production from both Timbaland and Pharrell Williams. Beyoncé also confirmed that she recorded a second duet with Justin Timberlake but wouldn’t go into much detail – “His record? I don’t know whether I should be talking about this, but it’s just brilliant.” What a tease you are Ms B.
Beyoncé says she recorded stuff with her Destiny’s Child sisters Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland and apparently the songs are so good that “when I heard their voices, I literally fell on the floor.” So Bey says she decided to save those songs for a separate project! DC reunion anyone?!
And as is always the case for Bey, she recorded a ton of songs for this new album – four different albums’ worth of material to be exact – but she’s already picked the songs that’ll make the final cut.
So when can we expect the new album? While she wouldn’t give us that juicy piece of info she did confirm that the Super Bowl was the official kick off to her new album campaign with an appearance on Oprah’s Next Chapter and her HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream quickly following.
Sounds like Beyonce is staging a comeback for the ages. Are you ready?
